Did not say that, i made the analogy of practicing what one preaches. Hitler preached the extermination of the jews amongst others, and practiced exactly that. The pope preaches that contraceptives as well as the teaching of the use of contraceptives should be prohibited, this is exactly what is currently being practiced in Africa by Catholic missionaries as well as the Catholic church, this is a major factor for the spread of venereal diseases.

Is this the same man who stuck by the line of refusing contraceptives to Africans, who called homosexuals evil, who likened abortion on any grounds to the holocaust, and who refused to speak out against the atrocities that his underlings commit against children? If for the forceable future this office has to be tolerated then lets hope for a more liberal-minded person than him.

If there was a dust-bunny in the crack of a marble floor in Olympus i guarantee you could spot it from 100 yards.

It still amazes me that he forgave the man that tried to take his life... I mean he embrased him like he was his brother.. It blew my mind.

R.I.P. You were an incredible man

He shouldn't be praised for practicing what he preaches-Adolf Hitler did this also and we rightly don't praise him.

Hitler preached what he himself wrote in Mein Kampf. JPII preached what was written by many hundreds of Christians in the past in the Bible and other tracts.

Hitler was full of himself and a narcissist. JPII was humble, modest, and a very forgiving man.

There are many other differences, too many to name. The world was honoured and blessed to have had JPII.

Shit, she was hot. Wasn't she messed-up in that whole Charlie Sheen thing? Anyway, I always hate to see hotties go. Hope that Jenna's fund helps her children out.

This sucks. I can't believe she died.

Why do hotties always have to die....why can't more people like Pauly:fag:Shore die? The world would be a much better place if more Pauly Shores died and less hotties.

You know, I really doubt that, if she did die of leukemia, her family and friends would keep it a secret... or not know at all. It is possible, obviously, but unlikely. Okay, if we examine the facts: "former" porn star, admitted high dollar prostitute, friend of Charlie Sheen... I am leaning towards OD (not ODB), suicide or high dollar VD. Either way, it is sad for the kids she leaves behind.

I've heard she died of liver complications and that she was actually on a waiting list for a donor... Comfirmation required on that story though..

Beam me up

Actor James Doohan, who played the chief engineer Montgomery Scott in Star Trek, has died at the age of 85.

Doohan, whose role was immortalised in the line "Beam me up, Scotty", had been suffering from pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease, his agent said.

His wife of 28 years, Wende, was by his side, Steve Stevens added.

Doohan was a popular character actor when he auditioned for the part in 1966. When the series ended in 1969, he found himself typecast in the role.

The Canadian-born actor was a master of dialect, developed during his years on radio.

When asked what accent he thought his Star Trek character should have, he said: "I believed the Scot voice was the most commanding."

Doohan's character Scotty manned the Star Trek enterprise with Captain James T Kirk, played by William Shatner, and Mr Spock, played by Leonard Nimoy.

They starred together for three seasons before US network NBC cancelled it because of weak ratings.

But the team was reassembled when the franchise hit the big screen. Star Trek: The Motion Picture was released in cinemas in 1979.

Doohan appeared in seven big screen episodes of Star Trek, and continued to voice the franchise's video games into the late 1990s.

My mom, born and bred in Scotland (24 years before coming to Canada, she still has a wee bit of an accent), refused to believe that James Doohan wasn't Scottish himself until I found a news article showing he was Canadian :)...That's testament to a wonderful character and actor...Scotty, you and Bones can rest easy...you're where none of us here has gone before...Rest In Peace.

Howard Stern would bring Scotty on because he hates William Shatner. He would call Shatner everything but a white man. Then the next time William Shatner would come on the show. Stern would play the tape.
