need help to use Bit Torrent when behind university proxy

i'm connected to the university LAN, through which i get my internet. had to configure firefox for it to work. but for BT client Azureus, what should i do to get it working?

Just click on the torrent you want to download and it will automatically startup and start downloading...as long as it is your default client.

bit torrent only works with IE in my experience. thats likely the problem. although it might depend on what client you're using.

i've never use azureus, but try looking through the settings / options. there is probably things you can set, like port or proxy servers or something.

why should torrent networks only work with ie?

yeah,there are proxy/networks settings somewhere in the azureus options...
its the first marked point when you open the configuration
