The only fund they have is their ads.
So please click their ads regularly if you want them to continue to be free.

I meant to ask this a while ago, and I feel a bit stupid doing so, but what ads? I don't see any when I click on an IV hosted pic. And on the front page, the only link I see that could be an ad is the one to free-webhosts.com . Is Firefox/Adblock filtering them out?

I actually wrote a program to DL pics from multiple image hosting sites... but it had a couple bugs and I never really finished polishing it...

figured it was better to pick and choose what images you want manually...

my method.

RIGHT CLICK

then

SAVE AS.

works well ;)

well my method was to highlight all the thumbs I wanted, hit ctrl-c then hit my hotkey: all those images are saved into any folder I want (or the default folder if I told my program 2 do that before hand)..

Why do you keep saying thumbs? They do not want the thumbs... they want the images...

Anyway... How long will it take you if you have 500 images? I would have less then 10 seconds of work then I would just need to wait until they dl'ed (which I can do whatever else I want while they are dl'ing)...

Or another thing I could do is just dl the whole thread then view them in a slide show and delete all the ones i do not want... Minimum amount of effort and get the best possible quality images...

edit: This thread made me look at the old code... gave it a quick test and still worked for imagevenue, kind of feel like finish it up now :p

funny, you noobs don't know that i'm probably the only one using IE with XP.
O, and now that w'r talking, i still install PC's (for special purposes) with Win98 , because it does the trick well.

I do however try to keep up with all the technology, to me it is amazing
but i like faces more

ok, pixmix

I revisited the site, selected a pic, selected not safe for work and started uploading the pic :: well, i wanted to upload the pic but before i could click the submit button the screen disappeared and some add appeared.
I don't like adds and especially not at such a moment so i clicked the cross.
My pic was gone too.

trying again and again.........

I did it, i did it, i really did it.

I was able to add the pic to the list

Now let's see how long this pic is gonna remain accesable

.

Sorry, Bob.

You're right Bob_Box and I feel compelled to say in my defense, after looking back on my post, that I honestly forgot about your suggestion, somewhere between reading your post and finding this software. I was so excited about it that I didn't even notice that it had the same name as the one that you offered. Bottom line: I'm new at this forum shit and I had nothing but good intentions in mind...Hey, you're not mad at me are you? :angelwing

imagevenue's uploading was always slow for me,
now even opening (the ** DEAD LINK REMOVED **) images is starting to be slow ,
and sometimes I have to click a "continue to your image" message .

I use imagevenue quite often and I can say it has been great for me. No problems, but I use IIIU too, so I can't say.

What would you guys recommend as an alternative picture loader?

Imagebam.com is great if you want to upload pictures using your browser. It is very fast.

a bit ofa bump eh nurikung...

But anyway... Although probably out dated now, I had coded mine to work with most of the popular image hosters... but it was a standalone app.
