Rik Emmett (one of my faves, Triumph)
Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer X. The guy has the hands of a monkey, he can play anything)
Ynwie Malmsteen (just cause it's fun to say)
Robert Fripp (King Crimson)
Of Course, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan

Honorable mentions to Peter Frampton, Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Jimmy Page, Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Alex Lifeson (Rush), Frank Zappa, Steve Morse, Ritchie Blackmore.....

And Steve Harris has got to be one of the best bassists out there
