I am not at all worried about this one. Brutal as it may be, It dose not seem nearly as contagious. That, and it is twice the age of our n1h1 with very little infected.

What I would really like to know is where did all the documentation go on n1h1. "WHO" no longer has much of anything. A search on n1h1 yielded few if any relevant results.(none worth quoting)

O.k. it is now the end of oct. I am three weeks into this bug. It is a pain in the ass, but I'm not at all deathly ill. Sorry guys All that and it is just a damn flu.

You may proceed with the I told you so's. It is spreading fast and lasts way longer, but still just a flu bug. going on week four and still pretty sick, but I'll live.

I think these may be "cycles" in which every so often man catches some new disease in which they previously didn't know about or wasn't around. We evolved, diseases evolve. Hopefully governments are safe and smart about it. We all want to believe that a government wouldn't let it happen and cause chaos in our country but there are the ones that have the "population control" theory and think they would just let it happen to cut down on the population.

Diseases keep evolving and we evolve to overcome those illnesses. It's a never-ending cycle.

So what is the general thoughts?

Global health care that causes us all to get vaccinations and infect the world?

Are we saying partial death, more than half the world population killed, or almost all?

Summary of all of this? What is the general belief?

The "black death" refers to bubonic plague, which is a bacterial infection which affects the lymph nodes. One of the symptoms is red spots which turn black, thus the "black" in the name. It's related to pneumonic plague, which affects the lungs, and septicemic plague, which affects the blood.

All 3 forms of the plague, being bacterial infections, can be treated successfully with anti-biotics, if caught in time. Keep that in mind.

The H1N1 flu, commonly mis-named the "swine" flu, is a viral infection, which cannot be treated with anti-biotics. This is why they had to come up with a preventive inoculation, which introduces a weaked or dead version of the flu virus to a human being, which is much easier for the body's defensive systems to fight, causing the body to build an immunity to the virus. Then, when an inoculated person is exposed to the full strength virus, their body already has a mechanism in place to fight it.

H1N1, in most healthy adults, is not nearly as deadly as it was first feared to be. News reports have already come out saying this to be true. In areas where decent health care is minimal, or nonexistent, it could have a higher rate of success against the populace. Generally speaking, children, young adults and the elderly are affected worse than anyone else, which is why they're suggesting those groups of people get inoculated first.

The "black death" was caused by a nasty germ, in an era long before anti-biotics were available. It was worsened by living conditions, poor housekeeping (it was spread by fleas, which were carried by rats), and ignorance. Comparing H1N1 to the plague is a bit overboard, imho.

Natural selection would imply a group or race of people would become imune while the rest would die, in which case we're just fucked lol. Or natural selection of the virus variations in which case we're fucked, lol. We may even mutate into human cockroaches who knows but personally im more afraid of the vaccines than the disease.

I agree comparing H1n1 to the plague is overboard, again like the title says "this is not H1N1". Nobodys saying the sky is falling be scared and run to mommy. Winter weather and aspirin kill people so no need to fear anything.

Those of you who know my other "popular" thread I started at the beginning of this n1h1 development know I may over due my points a small bit(sarcasm). The title was pulled from a youtube video. It grabbed my attention so I strait up stole it. A better title may have been "n1h1 mutation" or "killer flu shot". A lot of people would have just skipped over this thread had I went with one more suited. My point in this thread was much the same as the other one, to get people to see what is likely to happen. Unfortunately I have poor people skills, and strong opinions witch puts people off, sorry. To clarify, I know it is most likely a mutation and not the famous "black plague" that hit the Ukraine the past few weeks.

Cman, natural selection implies a natural set of events witch kills the weak and strengthens the species. The key word is "natural" witch dose not apply to this at all. I personally believe since we have moved out of the tribal and into whatever we are in now this proses has been unable to do its job.

My personal belief threw looking at history Is telling me something is not right. Is a group of super rich assholes trying to wipe most of us out so we are more manageable? Could the n1h1 shot be hiding genetic material to help the mutation along so it will kill us off more efficiently? Is there a "new world order" headed by elitist who worship interdenominational beings? Can batman save him self from this diabolical trap and save his sidekick from being eaten by genetically altered super monkeys? No one can really know for sure, but if you open your eyes and just take a look you may just find your one of the people who do.

If they kill a bunch of us off, they won't have enough people to do their evil bidding.

It has been over a week since the W.H.O. took samples for sequencing. They still have not released the results. We still have no confirmation on a possible mutation, but we already have statistical information on h1n1. It only takes a few days or less to do the sequencing and it is obvious they are not releasing there results because it has in fact mutated to be much more infectious. It still is not more deadly, but it is still cause for concern.

The world's population has risen from below 3 billion to over 6 billion in my own lifetime and I suspect will continue to increase until Malthusian checks come into play.

I wonder if the forces of nature are simply biding their time. Were there to be a radical climate change as the doomsayers are always predicting, that could be the opportunity for a catastrophic disease epidemic to cull the human population.

I think I'm done with all of this. It is just not worth it really. It is funny I think. one president in the oil field invades a country with large deposets of oil, another with stock in the medical field declares national emergency when a "new" and "Deadly" flu virus breaks out.
