It's got to the point now that i'm thinking of retiring from posting because with a membership of 200k people - upon checking my usercp the same 100 people's names keep appearing.

Out of 200k members only roughly 100 can say thanks for the posts you put up for your hardwork! And after talking to another 'active member' he ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** a vid as an example which was downloaded over 630 times, but, got about 25 thanks - just goes to show the ignorance & selfishness of people here.

No more free porn for you selfish people except for what I have left!

A little gratitude goes a long way people. The way I view it is - it shows there's an interest in whatever particular thread I post in. If there's little or no thanks I take that as there isn't any interest, so why continue to post in said thread. Show some appreciation and you'll likely be rewarded with more content to look at or download. The ball's in your court, people.

If I like the content posted in a thread, I usually thank it even if I don't download the posted material.
I hope you change your mind jonboy!

Thank's for the support, but, culture needs to change on this forum - especially those members who pop their head above the parapet and claim they're active members and you then look at their stats which shows falsehood after falsehood.

There are other forums I'm a member of, but, the vast majority of my posts (exclusive posts) go here and you won't find them anywhere else.

But, the lack of appreciation is a real problem here.

Just checked some vid download stats in the 'Vickie Powell' thread, one has has had 25 downloads another 13, but, thanked by 2 people (and one of those kind people thanks every post in that thread) on each post. KINDA confirms my theory - vast majority ungrateful members.

Culture has to change - may i suggest that if possible (probably not) that before someone can download anything they have to thank the post - probably requires new software i know i'm going to the extremes.

That must be annoying. I've never ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** videos so I've never seen that phenonemon myself, but that is a bit galling. Your suggestion is sensible, but I don't know if it's technically possible.

One other idea is for the forum itself to reward prolific posters maybe, badges of thanks on their profiles or awards or something?

BTW Jonboy, who is the girl in your avatar?

Just reviewed this guy's complaint thread - Sort of person i'm talking about, been here 5.5 years & complains about lack of new content, yet thousands of posts of new content & only thanks 34 times in all that time - a true LURKER & LEECHER if you ask me!

I agree with you about L&L's , but please don't single anyone out on an open forum.
The one you cited has made contributions to the forum.

Hide Tool

At NCF, registration is not required to access threads and links; this may account for many downloads with relatively few 'Thanks'. Some downloads occur directly off of search engines without guests even visiting NCF. I prefer not requiring registration because some members post for downloads and don't care about 'Thanks', however we could install an optional 'hide' tool.

To use the "hide" tool, posters must wrap [hide] and [/hide] around links. Links wrapped in [hide] only will become visible to members clicking "Thanks" for the post; posting a reply will not reveal links. Since guests can not 'Thank' posts, only registered members can access links.

The "hide" tool also has proven to reduce the number of links reported and killed.

Tried an experiment to see if a comeback was possible, BUT, after posting a big titted blond who's not on here (and who I do not believe people will find unattractive) & after 500+ views & only 9 thanks i'm sticking to my retirement as there are too many here who just take take take & not thank.

P.S. - notice how the number of posts per day has dropped?

UNGRATEFUL WANKERS.

I remember when there was no "thanks" button on here. The only measure of your success was your conversation and promotion to RM, EM or Mod. Thanks are a blink of the eye and and with many people leeching who cares about the thanks.

I get thanks for posts made before many (most) of you knew this place existed. Why - people click random buttons sometimes, I don't post much due these days due to time and crappy internet (damn countryside abode!) but to give up for no thanks Jonny? Don't be so defeatist, for every thanks there are many silent people too scared to press the button or non members looking at a random forum.

If you want thanks become a lollipop man, if you want tits and as post here.

Simples.
