Love my cable modem, on a good day the line speed will cap at 4000 kbps. Right now it's only 1098.5 kbps but around 1 AM it really zips. GO COX!

lol conman, the difference on using dial up and broadband rests on where people live. Certian areas just demand it while others don't or just slow on allowing access. Most areas in Canada and the US have broadband at relitively low prices, however once you enter more rural areas they won't have access to it. And the deciding factor isn't if it is a developed nation or not as i know many people in the UK who are still dial up since broadband is either too expensive still or just unavailable. so the deciding factor right now is geography.

I use roadrunner through a wireless router. In South Carolina. Usually I'm connected at about 54 Mbps.

I think my 2mbit connection must go under LAN, but it's not my office, sort of :)

Speed test: 2054 kbit/s
