WTF happened to the jets? Sanchez throws 3 interceptions in 6 attempts. My god what a slaughter. Im starting to think football is rigged. BTW, RIP Don Meridith. I remember watching him and cosel when monday night football was very young. And i was also.:(

As a Jets supporter I was so frustrated by the game last night that I had to boot up the xbox and shoot people...

I think Rex Ryan & Dirty Sanchez might have been interviewing for the Patriots next year.. that is the only excuse I can come up with..

My teams all suck this year... so maybe it is because of me :jawdrop:

Perhaps our American friends can answer this question, how often has a team with a losing record reached the play off?

Reason I am asking is that unless something happens then the NFC West will have 4 teams with a losing record.

I said earlier I reckon a Pats v Giants Super Bowl, I will now change that to a Pats v Falcons Super Bowl.

I think there's been a couple .500 teams, but I don't think there has been one to go to the playoffs under .500, if there has, it's probably one or two max.

Has anyone else wondered about this?

There are 32 teams in NFL. But each team only plays 16 games a season, meaning it takes 4 years for one team to play all other teams. Gay as hell if you ask me.

16 GAMES? 16 GAMES? NHL 82 Games, NBA 82 Games, Real football 50+ games.

Now that we are at the business end of the football season, the post season, here are my predictions, be warned I am a badly paid public sector worker so that should tell you what I am like at predicting scores.

NFC:
Saints to beat the Seahawks
Eagles to beat the Packers

Falcons to beat the Saints
Eagles to beat the Bears

Eagles to beat the Falcons.

AFC

Colts to beat the Jets
Ravens to beat the Chiefs

Pats to beat the Ravens

Steelers to beat the Colts

Pats to beat the Steelers.

Pats will win the Superbowl, hopefully.

On another matter, the seahawks with a losing record, I noticed this wasn't mentioned when the schedule was released, are seeded 4 compared to the Saints 5 and the Packers 6. I think its time the seeding was looked at.

I hope it's Jets Packers in a Favre bowl to piss him off.

After a very open season, its down the Packers v the Steelers.

I think the Steelers will win but only just.

A great game.
Well done the Steelers for coming back in the second half and making a game of it.
I thought with 2 strong defences that it would be a low scoring game, proves how wrong I was.

Now that we have a new CBA in place, roll on 8th September when the new season starts.

The Pats for me again.

I also don't think neither the Cowboys not the Colts will make the playoffs.

Will the Packers go 16-0 or will the Head Coach rest some of the best players for the Play Offs?

My own view is that they will rest players and give some of the fringe players a chance to show how good they are.
