Ok, so I want to record video that is playing on the screen. Like I play a streaming video on the internet or whatever and I want to capture it.

What is the best program for this?

I'll give it a shot. I saw it in another thread, but I didn't know it did video as well.

Any more suggestions?

Do you accept cracked programs (with crack) or does it have to be a URL on the Internet.
I understand that it is illegal to distribute cracked programs.
I will try to make a zip then. But it will be first time so must experiment first.

** edit **

I use Windows Moviemaker to convert ASF to AVI and then edit and save as MPG with Ulead Mediastudio Pro.
Streams are there in several forms so grabbing/capturing the movie from the screen ...
I am using something similar (with a card, so not copyable) but i found Fraps is (for 30 seconds) a good choice.
Found that you have to create an output dir to make it work. (it does not work with the default dir).
