Here’s one to avoid. Windows Live OneCare is Microsoft’s new anti-v/firewall software. Awful, just fug-awful. Somebody at a computer store told a client of mine to buy it for a new laptop I set up….”it’s the best.” How the hell would he know? It’s beta! $49 for beta software!
First it wouldn’t install all the way, then nothing else would install over the mess it made so I used Sys Restore to go back while I waited on hold for Microsoft for an hour and 45 minutes. Then after everything I needed to install was on it, I set a restore point and tried again. This time it installed but would not run right. Also wouldn’t uninstall…again. Sys Restore.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for software companies that beg us not to steal their software. They really treat us like shit....stupid shit.
