What I like to do is rent the movies from Blockbuster burn a few copies, sell them to my friends for about two dollars a piece and keep a copy for myself. I have a massive collection to put it mildly(somewhere between 550-600) but seriously though am I the only one who owns Donnie Darko?

Anyway, my question is, where the fuck does everyone get the money to buy all these? Am I missing something?

Maybe. But hard work and insane amounts of overtime brings great dividends.

copyright warnings

I've got myself quite a collection of DVDs including alot of region 1 films (I'm in the UK) pretty mush the same genres as previously posted so I won't go into specifics. But what I will ask is 'Why do people who buy legal DVDs get punished by having to sit through warnings in 3 or 4 languages about piracy. Surely by buying the DVD you've paid for the film and should be able to watch it in peace without the preaching. (And the first thing you do when you RIP it is take the warnings and protection off) Don't even get me started on this mutli-region crap

Anyone else got boxes of VHS in the garages? I tried selling them on e-bay but it would have cost more in postage than the pitence they were worth, Oxfam didn't want them and I'm loathed to throw them away. Maybe they will come back into fashion in ten years time.

I obviously don't have the same motivation as everyone else, but ...
Two Teletubbies
One Elmos World
Two Baby Einstiens
equals...daddy gets to take a shit in relative peace and quiet on Saturday and Sunday morning. $65 or so is a small price to pay. :)

Switch Old School/Will Ferrell to *movie of choice*/Ben Stiller, and I'm right there with ya.

Far as Ferrell goes...I'm not a big fan, but Old School made me laugh. His bit part on Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back was easily one of the best parts of the movie. His SNL stuff....eh, sucked.
