Tom Hanks, he has one less facial expression than Buster Keaton and he had only one
I liked Lohan and Spears before they could afford panties now not at all
Personally, I really don't care for Tom Hanks (the person) - kinda rubs me wrong - but it's hard to deny that he was great in Saving Private Ryan, Big, Forrest Gump, & The Money Pit. He was also good in Splash and Bachelor Party.

I think Katy Perry is overrated. I first saw her on some award show many years ago, and she was singing Like A Virgin, and I thought it was a parody or spoof, because her singing was appalling.

Hanks is like a hybrid of Spencer Tracy and James Stewert but there's no denying he can act, albeit always with his own style. Then again the same could be said of DeNiro and Pacino both of whom always use the same mannerisms and expressions in every role.
The proof of his mettle was The Road to Perdition. He was never out of place or depth next to Paul Newman and that's going some. Some of his films are dreadful (you've Got Mail for instance) and he'll never be an action star, but that's why Saving Private Ryan was so good. In every sense his character was the wrong man in the wrong place doing all he could to fulfil his duty honourably. As character so actor and he did it fantastically well.
Katy Perry has a banging body that comes with a magnificent pair of breasts. Beyond that she's just a very ordinary girl with an ego bigger than her cup size. Her fame baffles the shit out of me, but I wish she'd just get them out finally and have done. At least before gravity takes over.
Whenever this question comes up I try to think about it and the names fly thrugh my brain so fast that it siezes up faster than a ZX Spectrum trying to run Doom.
If only it were possible to gather them all into one directory and then press ctrl-alt-del

Some good points about Hanks, especially his being cast in the movie Saving private Ryan - while it is an action movie, his character was just an average joe teacher, cast into a chaotic situation. I never saw Road To Perdition, but now I feel I need to seek it out. As far as Tom doing movies like You've Got mail - unfortunately, they all do cappy movies from time to time. I think it was Michael Caine who said sometimes he takes roles to simply pay for a house, or whatever. An actor I use to love seems very guilty of this - Robert DeNero. I just saw a mind bogglingly lame movie with him and John Travolta last night called Killing Fields. I was wondering why either agreed to do the movie, and came to the conclusion that DeNiro probably did it to be able to leave money to his kids and grandkids.

This leads me to a question: who do you think is the better actor, DeNiro or Pacino? DeNiro probably jumps out for many of you, but I'm going with Pacino, and mainly because he can act with a female, while DeNiro seems completely uncomfortable sharing a scene with a lady. Seeing DeNiro do love scenes with women, as with Uma Thurman and Milla Jovovich, are pretty much uncomfortable to watch, while Pacino was great in a movie like Carlito's Way, and Penelope Ann Miller. I think people like Deniro because they want to be him in the roles he does, and because all the ladies liked him back in the day. He plays a great authoritative lead guy - the perfect tough guy. But he does so with little nuance. Pacino, on the other hand, can do the same thing, but he adds subtlety to his characters. He played all angles of a mobster to perfection: the rise and fall of Michael Corleone; the rise and fall of Tony Montana; a low level connected guy in Carlito's Way; a made guy in Donny Brasco; a gay guy who robs a bank in Dog Day Afternoon... Sure, he goes over the top, and starts yelling in some of his movies (if not all of them), but it's entertaining. I did like DeNiro in Casino, because his character had flaws - he could have played it much the way he did in Goodfellas, and nobody would've noticed or cared, but his character was a man who was ultimately weak, but existed in a tough guy setting. But then again, I felt he was uncomfortable acting next to Sharon Stone, and was most convincing when he was fighting with her. I liked the movie Midnight Run, but even there, he seemed awkward around his ex wife, and daughter. Maybe that was the point? But as much as I liked him in that movie, Charles Grodin stole most of the scenes.

So what do you good folk think: who's the better actor, DeNiro or Pacino, and why?

On a side note, while Katy Perry does have a nice set of tatas, but I've given up hoping to see them. She's like the Jennifer Love Hewitt of pop music; she's made a career on her breastesses, but we'll never get to see them. Yeah, yeah, I know: she's a singer, and she not supposed to be showing her her breasts, but she sure as hell uses them to sell her singing ability, or lack thereof. Jessica Alba is another person I am giving up on, and won't open her links anymore. We've seen all we're going to see... While I am not attracted to Anna Kendrick, I think she is hiding some nice sleeper titties, but she's already said she'll never show them, so I won't bother opening her links, either. Maybe this is sexist of me, but the fact remains, they make a career acting, theoretically portraying real life situations, so for an actress to say she'll never get nude tells me they ain't really into their craft. I saw in a clip where the youngest Olsen girl had a nude scene, and the sheet she was holding fell, and rather than yelling "cut," she went with it, and almost showed her nether region, as well. It wasn't gratuitous nudity - it was a real moment.
