Guinevere van Seenus - fashion model
Pirelli 2006
Guinevere Van Seenus spent her early years in Washington D.C. When she was still in high school, she moved to Santa Barbara, California. She enrolled in a modeling school for fun and did modeling part-time. Shortly thereafter, she moved to New York to pursue a full-time modeling career. She quickly she found herself at the center of attention in the supermodel circle. Thanks to her extraordinary beauty and outgoing personality, Guinevere was soon a huge success.
Many photographers have captured Guinevere's modern look. She worked with Steven Meisel, Robert Erdman, David Simms, Terry Richardson, Vincent Peters, Mario Testino, Richard Avedon and Mario Sorrenti. She appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia, The Face, Glamour and The Fashion. Guinevere has also done advertising campaigns for Versace, DKNY, Tse Cashmere, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana and Vidal Sassoon. In 1996 she was nominated Model of the Year for Vogue VH1 Fashion Awards.
Although she temporarily put modeling on the back burner to concentrate on her education, Guinevere never missed a beat. During this hiatus she was photographed by Avedon for the Gap advertising campaign, and she worked for Vogue USA, Vogue Italia, W, Harper's Bazaar, and Dazed and Confused. More recently, Guinevere was photographed by Paolo Roversi for W and by Steven Meisel for Vogue USA.
Guinevere's mother, an actress, has been of great help to her. She is also very fond of painting, a passion that has allowed her to achieve great success in her field. Her talent and her artistic ability can be seen on both magazine covers and canvases.
