How to reduce bandwidth usage..........help needed

hey guys, can anyone tell me tips or tools in reducing bandwidth usage other than the obvious one, i am running into huge bills because of this

the more money you make, the more you can afford to spend on hosting. so just put some ads up and try to cover your costs. also, there is more to selling ads than just putting some banners up. you have to get creative with your marketing.

don't host videos yourself, use embedding services like megarotic, xvideo, pornotube etc. you can still have the video pages on your site, but the videos are hosted remotely.

for picture galleries, try to optimize your pictures. don't have huge 3000x3000 pics. you can still have good HQ pics that are 1000x1000.

probably the most important thing is to have good security on your site. have some sort of hot link protection, through htaccess or whatever, and make sure no one is leaching stuff from your site.

thats a few ideas anyway.

your galleries can be thumbnails so all wont load up at once. Also read your usage reports on where your using the most bandwidth. If a specific IP is leeching your site,block that IP.
