ImageVenue has a FTP upload option that's pretty fast, and you can upload up to 100 images at once. Just click the link above the submit boxes that says "One click upload tool" and follow the instructions.

The only problem is you'll have to space the images yourself, which only takes 30 seconds using find and replace in notepad.

This is a fuckin nightmare. I spent 2 hours today dicking around with Imagevenue! It's a twisted flashback to the days where every pic had to be ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** by itself... A bunch of you remember that shit!

The nightmare is over Count:

It's working again!
Thnx to Diamond for the encoding!

Link to the prog Sharpuploader:

You'll also need Net Framework version 2 from Microsoft .

Enjoy!

More good news for the postwhores :D

PhotoShare is an updated version of SharpUploader.
If SharpUploader doesn't work for you, try PhotoShare.

Download here!

Step 1:

Open the program PhotoShare and the folder with the pics that you want to upload.

Step 2:

Select the pics that you want to upload and drag them into the blank area of PhotoShare.
Click the box "I have read the TOS bla bla bla" & Click "When ready to upload, click here"

Step 3:

Wait untill all your pics are upped.

Step 4:

Go to the "Configure OUtput" tab en click "Open Template"

Step 5:

Select the exp0sed template

Step 6:

Got to the "Output" tab & click "Generate Output"

Step 7:

Click Copy to clipboard & paste the codes @ the forum

Happy posting!

I can't get either programme to work, keep getting file error messages . I use Shelluploader Ok on another forum is that allowed here ? If not no problem I'll try and sort it out.

Thanks

I have this problem with Imagevenue 4 quite some time now:

1) Uploading > if I select the multiupload option there is a very good chance that they don't upload all. You can see it immediately because the preview of the pic isn't there.

2) Downloadiing > very often when I hit a thumbnail on a forum, I am redirected to the upload page of Imagevenue instead of the bigger sized picture.

You mean that the pic was deleted from their servers ? Most of the time when that happens it's just another pic from a series/set.

Couple of options to that question:

1: The picture was deleted from their server due to violence of their tos

2: The server on which the pic is loceted is at that moment offline (which happens, but not very often)

3: The picture was deleted from their servers due to inactivity (after 1 year of no views of the pic, it gets deleted from their servers)

It happens quite frequently though; and like I said it is from a set of pics that you get redirected (~10%) sometimes to the upload pages. I assume for 100% that the pics were all ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** at once some time ago at from the same nice dude. So they should all be unavailable.

Would be interested if more pple have the same problem.

They shouldn't all be unaivailable, because not all the images from 1 set are ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** to the same servers. (check the urls of the pics)
They have more than 30 servers at IV

Also: it's a FREE service, so we just have to deal with the few minor points of their service.

Ah different servers, that makes sence. But I remember the "getting redirected to upload page" was extremely rare a year or so ago. It's free indeed, but where do they get the money from to run the servers ?

Indeed , about a year ago their service was more reliable.
On the other hand, the last year, we've seen the rise of mass uploaders and mass downloaders built especially for uploading to and leeching Imagevenue.
If you use the uploader and the Ipled downloader, Imagevenue is unlimited for downloading & uploading pics.
So there's a lot more pressure on their servers compared to last year.

The only fund they have is their ads.
So please click their ads regularly if you want them to continue to be free.

I would recommend people to use photoshare, not sharpuploader. I have a pretty powerful processor, and sharp takes up 90% of it when it's running, while photoshare is barely there. For people with slower processors, this means sharpuploader could molest your system and make it rediculously slow while it's running. They upload at about the same speed though.

EDIT: actually, sharp is WAY faster then photoshare when you use many concurrent uploads.

finally found the thread

Will be commenting AND editing this message

Why?

ImageVenue uses over 200 (spaces) or disksystems (all the same to me) for their storage.
I assume they use HP Proliant servers and they house 8+3 drives.
I assume they have 25 or more servers. (a machine, own powersupply, own processor-unit, own Net-connection, storage-capacitors and memory - one thing, a machine)
They probably house them in racks.

Sometimes pics don't show up
example , will still have to PM

the drive img121 is not offline
Is it gone (the BIG pic) or ...

Do i have to go back tomorrow or PM Gatorman

This pic is on img5 and it's fine

Just recheck your post

thought the red cross inhere was a down drive, however it turns out to be a missing thumb
http://forum.exp0sed.com/showpost.php?p=89007&postcount=5

now why this

i'm curieus about how you can follow that (offline) moment

i tought of creating 200 different small pics and post them
if i get every pic on a different server and number them i could (on reload) see which ones are offline (the pic would not show)

example

- can't seem to find a down drive

have to go now, will be back

thinking and waiting and editing

Grap, please quit the bitching and just get over the fact that not everything works perfectly all the time, especially free stuff. I thought i would help with a list of good and bad points for IV.

Good things about IV:

We can mass upload through photoshare etc.
We can mass download through Ipled Gui thingy (why not a cool name for it?)
They aint banned us yet
They let us post porn
They are not imagewank
It's free and easy

Bad things about IV:
Sometimes we lose a few pictures
Sometimes they have to turn off for maintenance

If you still think IV sucks dick then go rent a few dozen servers and become a host yourself, never have down time and pay the bandwidth for forums like this.

P.S. It should be noted that i have has a really bad day and have had enough of whinging fuckers who expect the world (wide web) served to them on a plate for no effort themselves. Fuckers.

P.P.S. Rant Over

I must first state that i am very happy with IV.
I do not want to say negative about IV.
The point:
If i find a pic that is not showing i have to find another pic on the same server,
If that pic shows it's a mispost; If the pic does not show it's a serverside-(thing)
So if i have a page with 200 small pics (each pic on a seperate server) i can check any server immediately and don't have to go searching for another pic on that server.
It's just diagnostics, no pissing off or sucking dick
I mean you no harm ; if i want to shit IV i will do that in the "Fuck em" string.
But i don't want to shit anyone or anycompany; It's a technical message.

AND

i don't want to work on this yet
I will have to contact ImageVenue to ask them to place numbered pics on their servers
So that is the next step if this Exp0sed bourd approves the picture-page
but i am still bizzy (for weeks now) to create the best possible BIG scansize
I don't play nanaca-crash even
at this very moment i am going into my 7th hour of trying to get the monica Hansen pics in a reasonable size.

so i will await comments on this and respond or work on it later (maybe much later)

A little explanaition on working on the Internet.
Working in a society means the work must be finished yesterday.
However, this is the Internet, different rules apply.
for any work on the Internet i take months, a year at last.
Why?: What i am doing here will be seen in ten years from now so taking months or a year to make a good and efficient presentation is normal to me.
This entire forum is a way of ventilating some of my ideas, i know some of them really do harm (bantime) but finally some will add to this forum.
Still using the wrong words for this explanation but i hope you understand the meaning.

in short
I want to create a "server-online" picture-page, but not now because i have much more to do.
Which to me is a little more important (and that includes nanaca-crash)
