Broken Pictures / ImageVenue Problems

Anyone else having problems viewing pictures hosted on there? All I get are red x's, with any pictures I click to.

Imagevenue dropping by!

Guys, I do not see a problem on our side.
What happened is that, as cman points out, amp; got inserted somehow into your previously posted image links during the migration to Vbulletin.
You have to remove those amp; for images to work.
I just ** DEAD LINK REMOVED ** a new image below and it works.
Thanks

Do you want us the posters to start doing it or would rather we wait?

Ok, I'll start trying. All we have to do is take out the amp; part, right?

Whazzup mods- i've been reading the threads here concerning
the forum's 'migration' and the problems with the thumbnails.

i've contributed to quite a few threads and i'm willing to edit/fix
my thumbnails as often as i can in the next few days.

Least i can do for you guys who provide such a cool 'place' to
post and check out pics!!!

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!!!! ;)

Does anybody know abetter way to switch them all at once, rather than one at a time.

select your whole post
copy it
paste into notepad
edit > replace

find: &

replace with: &

check it afterwards and make sure it looks right.

copy the edited version
pasted into old message, replacing previous text

Just so everyone knows, I have been seeing that amp; everywhere there is this sign: & . Apparently it is with evryone of them, so it is not just links.

its HTML. it has a valid purpose in certain situation, just not in this particular case.

if you see it elsewhere i would leave it alone, unless you know otherwise.

I think Kaboom means that everywhere there was a "&" symbol in the forum before, not just in links or code, it has been replaced with "&"
I've noticed it in some onf Conman's older posts.

And here's another tip from LTJ:

All you posters that are hotlinking/direct linking to IV, instead of using his thumbs, prepare to do some fixing and/or rehosting coz Pat is getting pissed at peeps who abuse his services. Save yourself a lot of trouble and start using thumbs if you're on IV.

TO EVERYONE WHO IS HOTLINKING FROM IMAGEVENUE:

Please check your threads, I have noticed alot of these

ea0_leanna1.jpg

wandering around the site. Remember, a quality poster doesn't just post a thread, they maintain it also!!

Also, if you haven't done so, please try and fix your thumbnail links from imagevenue. Just remove the amp; from the link and they work! :llama: :llama:

They didn't force you to use thumbs before. You used to have the option to direct link to your image. They just recently changed that.
