She was born and brought up in Muscat. She left her ambitions of becoming a lawyer as she was intrigued by the fashion world, and took her first step in print and television advertisements at the age of 18. She truly depicts the beauty-with-brains package with an Economics degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Indrani loves to walk the ramp and has participated in many modelling shows for designers like Ritu Kumar, J J Vallaya, Rocky S etc. She has also participated in The Lakme India Fashion Show for a host of fashion designers including Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Aki Narula, Rocky S, J J Vallaya and Monisha Bajaj.
