Future of Politics

I guess it was only a matter of time until conservatives started recognizing that GW really is an "idiot" (in addition to being "inarticulate).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x5SRwFfgrQ

I just heard that if you look up the word "doofus" in the dictionary you'll find GW's picture. :)

Gotta love this,

As of this evening, eight Republican Senators have deserted GW over his troop escalation in Iraq. Just one quote:

Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska described the move as "the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam, if it's carried out."

And thats from a Republican! For just one article, check the following:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/11/iraq.congress/index.html

And it seems I wasn't the only one to notice the reference to Iran in GW's speech last night. The Senate appears like they want to tear Bush a new asshole. Stay tuned! This is going to be quite fun to watch.

Everyone remember Scott McClellan? He was G.W.'s spokesliar for at least his first term. Well, he's now written a book and its not exactly complimentary. Only a small portion has been pre-released by the publisher but one statement is quite interesting.

"I stood at the White House briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby,'' McClellan, 39, wrote. "There was one problem. It was not true.''

McClellan wrote that he "unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff, and the president himself.''

He's talking about the outing of Valerie Plame, a CIA operative that worked in non-proliferation and whose husband had written an article about what he did not find in Africa (radioactive materials).

Why these idiots have not been impeached and thrown in jail by now is beyond me.

Good old GW has finally won something! According to a new poll out yesterday, GW is the worst president since WWII! Is there really any doubt?

http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2006/06/posted_by_david.html

Now, lets get him impeached, arrested and tried for war crimes, and then put in jail for the rest of his life.

Well I guess we know that you for the Democratic Party. But yes there is doubt ! For one thing in todays world George could fart at 6:00, and everyone at 6:01 would know it . And no one even knowed JFK was seeing Marilyn. So I'm not sure if this would play a part in the poll . I am not a Republican and I'm not a Democrat either. But when it comes to war , George W. took up a fight his dad should have finished . And took over a war that after the USS Cole was attacked , Clinton should have done started. But getting back to the worst president since WWII , was that Roosevelt or Truman ?

Ahhh elmer,

Did you happen to notice that post is over a year and a half old??? And that info is now dated. Most historians now agree that GW will go down as the worst President in US history. And being an amateur historian (that actually periodically gets paid for it), thats saying a whole lot as we've had some really bad ones.

And no, I'm an independent that detests GW and this administration. If you'd go back and read through this thread you'd figure that out. And WTF does anything have to do with JFK and Marilyn? That was over 40 years ago!

If I were you, I strongly suggest you go to the library and pick up General Schwarzkopf's book. Then read it. It details exactly why they didn't go after Saddam in 1991. They were told by their arab allies (remember those? We used to have a few) exactly what would happen if we went after Saddam. And doggone if they weren't exactly correct. GW's father was a bit smarter than his son (who is a dufus).

And if you'll remember correctly, FDR died a few months prior to the end of WW2 so he could not be included in that survey.

Being an amateur historian , how can you say "GW will go down as the worst President in US history" Is the U.S. going to end this year ? There well-be other President and who can say if the next one doesn't screw things up even more .Or the next . I simply commented on the poll in comparison with the todays technology. And I used John Kennedy as an example . You said since WWII , I could have purposed quiet a few Presidents from 1945 to present . But with todays news reporters, report on everthing . Not like it once was, with the unspoken code ,of Not taking pictures of FDR in a wheel chair or reporting on JFK's affair with Marilyn ,(yes I know it was over forty years it has nothing to do with this) Today, thanks to Al Gore. We can Google just about anything . Even a poll on worst preisdent . And I know about Schwarzkopf's book, and the talk of a western presence in Arab countries. I've heard the circumstances for not going into Iraq like , violated our guidelines , exceeding the U.N.'s mandate, Countries of the region wished to see the breakup of the Iraqi state ,etc . And the differance today is ? You said (FDR died a few months prior to the end of WW2 so he could not be included in that survey) WHAT ? asks again, WHAT? Who's allegation of fact is this ? Yours or the poll's . (since WWII ) , that means WWII ! FDR was in office for 12 years and WWII was about 6 years . why not just say ,worst president since 1945 ? Bush Sr.was an idiot, Bush Jr is an idiot , an Bill Cliton was an idiot. That got a Blow Job from a fat girl . You've suggested in your post I go to the library , or proposed I read a book . "I get it, you like to read" OK Already!

elmer,

Since I don't have enough time to completely answer all of your questions, I strongly suggest you go back through this thread and read the posts. Most of your questions have been answered previously.

But as far as GW being one of the worst in history, thats easy.

1. Just after 9/11, virtually the entire world supported us. He squandered that to the point where we are now one of the most reviled. For that alone he would receive a major negative rating.

2. Lying to us totally about going into Iraq. He should be impeached for that.

3. Nearly 4,000 military deaths, 20,000 + military casualties, possibly up to a million Iraqi deaths and casualties. Almost 3 million displaced. For that he should be arrested and tried as a war criminal.

4. For what? Oil, all for more cheap oil. Again, he and the neocons should be tried as war criminals.

5. Katrina. Anything more need to be said?

6. Domestic spying, lying to Congress, etc., etc.

If I has more time I could go on and on and on.

Anyone watch the GOP debate last night. McCain called Paul an isolationist because he wants to bring the troops home, and the crowd clapped!!! Thompson said if we left, the price of a barrel of oil would skyrocket effectively proving this "war" is over resources.

Duke,

I didn't watch it although I heard a bit about it. I am a bit confused though. I thought I heard that the crowd was unhappy about what McCain said and that they jeered McCain. I could have heard things incorrectly.

I'd tell you to see it but it's a waste of time, nobody accomplished much of anything except Thompson came off as a likeable guy. Its just a pony show anyway. I watched it again and Ron Paul's answers made me pretty proud, thats all that matters to me. Rudy was jeered by far the most.

Thats pretty much what I've heard and I've seen a few snippets on the news channels. I guess it was mainly Rudy and the mormon yelling at each other with a few others chiming in periodically.
