What do you think of the domain name page4.co.uk for a model / celeb site?

Is that a good idea or stupid? I thought it was kind of clever, but you guys have a different sense of humour lol

Also, do you think there is any chance of a lawsuit? I will claim that its a parody instead of a trademark infringement haha

I say go for it.

As far as I am aware page3 was never trademarked, but I could be wrong.

Cman,

That sounds like a good idea. If it isn't taken, you could probably, eventually, get some squatters money.

i realized that exposedcelebs.co.uk is a pretty friggin long domain name, so i am looking for a new one that is shorter. i also thought that it might gain popularity from the play on words

Cman,

I find it really difficult to believe that Page 3 wouldn't be taken, but its certainly worth a check. If it isn't you've probably hit gold.

Yeah Cman that would work well, I'm sure your aware of how well known and popluar page 3 is and a play on words is sure to get the correct attention and the 'punters' in quick! Good luck with the new project! keep us updated mate.

Cman,

Just, maybe, a stupid question. What is normally on page 4 of whatever paper uses this page 3 stuff? I don't know, but if thats normally obituaries, you may not want to use it.

LOL Page 4 is the usual where the main or head line story continues from page one, page two consists of a small story and maybe an advert or the weather for that day then you have you naked lady or exp0sed celebrity (see what I did there! huh!) on page 3!

I've been thinking about it for a few days now and it might just be me but i don't quite get it.

I like the idea but if i was looking for a celebrity i would never try looking for page 4 on google or yahoo.

If you were doing a site which specialised in current and former page 3 girls then i would get it but for the general totty i just can't see it.

I like the idea of the exp0sedUK thing but if it's not pulling the punters in maybe a change of terminology could help, words like British Sexy Totty or Brits Exposed might work???

Not trying to put you off but you did ask for feedback.

I'm going to have both domains pointing to the site, so I might advertise it as both, but the logo and title and such will be Page 4. The main purpose is that I wanted a shorter domain name

My Thoughts

I pretty much agree with stu2906, IMO no one from the UK (your targeted audience) will type "Page 4" in a search engine.
If page3.co.uk is taken, I think you would have more success with something like "page3online" (which is a character or two shorter then the current domain) or "mypage3.co.uk".
After all Page 4 isn't relevant to the site content, Page 3 is the keyword, which I think should be in the domain name.
