Classic dance floor funk right here, this is off her 1981 album, "It must be Magic." This went only as high as #50 on the pop charts but went to #3 on the R&B charts. It's one of her most successful tunes and you just can't help and shake your ass to this one.

And finally, one of the leaders of the new school, Kanye West. Now I would've traded Kanye, for an old school pro like Kool G Rap/Grand Puba/Big Daddy Kane/ cuz the song is titled Classic and personally Kanye hasn't been around that long to be in that category. Still, I'm not gonna hate...This song comes at a time when rap is scraping the bottom of the barrel & throwing out endless forgettable tracks out there. Let your ears feast on a bit of caviar instead of the potted meat we've been getting lately.
Off her "Swept Away" album in 1984, this song was written & produced for Diana by Lionel Ritchie. Lionel & Diana were talking about Marvin shortly after the the tragedy and came up with this song. It was Diana's last #1 on the R&B charts.
Written by KC and the Sunshine Band, this is McCrae's biggest hit that went to #1 in 1974. It's an early disco classic that has sold over 11 million copies worldwide. This is the kinda jam that gets the older crowd at the party freakin the soul train dance moves. Enjoy & reminisce a bit. This is off their 4th album, Worlds Apart, in 1981. "On the Loose" fared well, and in December of 1982, proved to be their breakthrough in America where it peaked at #26 on the Billboard Charts. It's very good high energy song.
Soft R&B classic & sexy ballad from 1975, This was the high point of a long career when he sang from Frank Lymon's group to the Delfonics..It has sold more than a million copies as a single & is on every slow jam tape at the crib.
This is off the Fugees' multi-platinum second album, " The Score". This song won them a Grammy in 1997 for best performance by an R&B group. I'm not too keen on people messing with classics but they did the song justice and turned it into a r&b/hip hop classic for the 90's.
J.Lo gets busy on that Club Nouveau "Why you treat me so bad" sample, It peaked at top ten in the U.S., becoming Lopez's sixth top ten single; it also peaked at number-three in the UK. Nas lends his MC skills to the affair. We all know she's not a singer by any means but it's nice to have enough dough to get the best producers around. Their skills+her fan base=platinum albums.
