Personal Commentary: I seriously think that Liverpool should let Steve Gerrard go during the summer. Liverpool has performed better, scored more goals and conceded far fewer when "Mr Liverpool" was sidelined. The Reds should take a page from Everton's book when they sold Rooney and climbed to fourth in the table. Brilliant a player as Gerrard is, the Reds do not gel as well when he is playing. Influencial as he is, Pool is a better team without him.
i really wanted Liverpool to win this game against chelsea. i'm starting to hate these smurfs and their sassy bitch of a manager. glad Barcelona taught them a lesson last time and hope the return leg will show even more how chelsea's football is poor and unspectacular.

EVERTON striker James Beattie is reportedly recovering from a vicious bashing, according to London's The Sun newspaper.
The tabloid reports that Beattie had his head "kicked like a football" in a brutal beating at a nightclub in Birmingham on Sunday morning (AEDT) as he celebrated his team's 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the English Premier League and his 27th birthday.
The Sun claims the attack was brought on after a bust-up with a thug who had taunted Beattie's girlfriend. Other news outlets have played down the incident, claiming it happened in a noodle bar.

Conman, you can fill in the spaces mate....I just wanted to pay tribute to the German supporters who never stopped singing even when they were 0-3 down on the night and 1-6 down on aggregate. They never stopped singing and the stadium even had You'll never walk alone on at full time for the Liverpool supporters.....First Class!!! As for the Liverpool performance, it was almost faultless. Stephen Warnock is proving himself very worthy of a regular first team spot, Baros never stopped running and even the limp-wristed Garcia managed to get himself on the scoresheet twice (he played well all night to be fair to the lad), and in all honesty had his best game since the Norwich game earlier in the season. Phenomenal performance by the red-men and the only worry is that we won't take the confidence garnered from this game into Tuesdays match with Blackburn. Consistency has been our major problem since we last won the league title in '90, but hopefully under Rafa Benitez, this will be resolved. Our best away performance under Rafa, bar none. Also nice to see him enjoying himself with the fans last night in Cologne....Happy days!!!!
