Well, it looks like the Pentagon is finally going to lose its monopoly on GPS positioning. The Europeans have launched the first of several satellites that, when complete, will allow for accuracies of +/- 1 cm (that should be interesting to see) with the acquisition of 3 satellites (1 m. with only one).
