... whether it's going to a racial pride parade ...
Funny that blacks can have a racial pride parade without being called bigots or racists but whites cannot. Now that's something that MLK Jr. would have been ashamed of.
King dreamed of a day where people weren't judged by the colour of their skin, instead by the content of their character. We still have "affirmative action", which is, in reality, reverse discrimination (still racist), not to mention that the premise of it is to judge a person by the colour of their skin but not by their abilities.
King would have been appalled at the current crop of black artists in rap, hip-hop, etc., as they are the group who most often use the n-word. (This is not to say that all of them do this, but the vast majority do.)
King would be dismayed about lobby groups such as the NAACP and others fighting over one another for a greater piece of the pie, these lobby groups which actually desire racial strife as these groups would be no longer necessary otherwise.
King would have wanted us to celebrate his life by living in harmony with people of all races without animosity and enmity. He'd want us working together and not in opposition to one another. King would be quite upset about his name being used for a holiday of sorts while his "Dream" is so far from fruition.
