i know from experience that this forum can take up a lot of juice (half of my whole server when i had it), and considering simon probably has a few other things on the server with it, problems are bound to arise. nothings perfect.

cool like i said figured it was something like that..just thought i should tell you..when my old board had an error similar to this the hard drive crashed ....and i had lost all my post member data and such...... aways make back up!..:nuts:..

First I want to thank you for wanting to add to my rep. So I added to you.

Add to reputation button works.

The problem is that it is connected to thanks button.

The reason you could not add to my reputation at this point was, that you had already hit the Thanks button for some other post of mine. So it means that you have added to my reputation 10 points. So you have to thank at least 10 other users or posts (I'm not really sure how it works) before you can add to my rep via clicking the

button. You can add to my rep via

any time you want.

I have a problem with this too. My problem is that when I see a good post I click thanks, but when I see a really really great post I want to thank the person by adding to rep, but I can't because I had already thanked him for some other post.

Expl. - By clicking

I add 10 points, but by

button I add I think more than 200 points.

I hope you understand what I tried to say.

Three different issues:

First, vBulletin has a regulator set to require reps be given to other members before being given to the same member again. The concept is that members should be spreading reps around, not repeatedly repping the same members. Waiting a specific amount of time between repping the same member does not reset the function.

Second, giving thanks requires you to spread around thanks and/or reps before repping a thanked member again.

Third, you can rep, then thank the same post, but you can not thank, then rep the same post.
