There's been so much talk about 6-6-06 and it being the "devil's day" or whatever, that some people may forget about the other thing thats happening tomorrow.

Its also the anniversary of DDay. No matter if you are pro-war or anti-war, you should never forget about the past sacrifices thats were made for you.

Yeah, we celebrate most of the big battles in one way or another. anything that doesn't have its own day is done on Rememberance Day.

There is also V.E. day, when WE freed Holland and thats considered to be pretty much the end of the European part of the war.

Well it was the turning point from which the allies were pretty sure they had things under control. I dont have a master's degree in WWII, its just what I learned lol

And yes "we", Canadians made up the majority of the troops in that battle. They were always sent to do the shit jobs, which is why we had some many casualties (realitively speaking, based on the size of our force, not as big as others)
