All that warning means is that someone with a bone to pick reported the site as hosting malware. If you know the site is clean then click ignore and in the report response popup explain you know the site to be non malicious. the warnings will cease.
In the case of Imagecredit.xyz I have always been unimpressed, but since I kicked up the awful stink the last time it might seem as though I have some kind of pathology if I made an issue again.
Of the imagehosts their ads have often been on the more aggressive side, but I find using adblock plus extension keeps most of their popups at bay without interfering with the imageloading. That's the best we can hope fr these days.
I'd be interested to know what the results of your conversation are.

It is off putting and we've had it with a couple of image hosts recently, imagebam & imgbox among them. Sadly it is also that simple because the warning system Google uses is automated, and pop-up/pop-under ads can register as malicious esp now that they all incorporate anti-adblocker tech as part of the script. Because of the way security software sweeps, anything that behaves with security disabling traits will register as malware. Imagehosts don't get that. Many of them also don't properly scrutinise the behaviours of the ad scripts they incorporate because all they are interested in is selling ad link-ups. Hence the massive hassle we had with ImageTwist.
If the warning comes up and you know the site is clean choose "ignore" or "I understand the risks and wish to proceed" and in the follow up pop up you can explain that it's a regular site you use all the time and the detector has registered a false positive.

Maybe it used to be that easy, but it's not anymore. Google takes that shit Very seriously and will manually investigate any website when reported to their system, it's happened to me a few times with my own websites over the past 12 years when malicious code had been injected into my ad script by corrupt advertisers. Google will not just label a site malicious unless they truly believe that something is up.

I just think it's a little off putting to the regular Joe Shmoe when we tell him to use www.imgcredit.xyz and when he goes there Google is telling him the website that WE referred him to could possibly install dangerous programs on his computer and try to steal his information. It makes US look bad for referring it.

Also if we say that all allowed image hosts must only have 1 pop per user per 24/hours, they ALL need to adhere. Why have rules and regulations when we're not going to enforce them or enforce them on some and not others. Might as well not have any rules at all.

And I emailed him about it kindly asking for him to fix both issues, I'll report back if he gets back to me. If not, I vote we remove it until he notices that we removed him and fixes the issue(s) OR we remove any and all rules and regulations for image hosts, because enforcing some and not all is ridiculous.
