endy, if some nation feels compelled to run a jailbreak op at gitmo, they are welcome to try... meanwhile, what business does the un have with people staying at club gitmo?? some access was offered, but the un turned it down... that organization grows increasingly irrellevent with each passing minute... a great club for talking a lot and doing absolutely nothing... the un has no teeth whatsoever, and as it is impotent and irrelevent, should be disbanded...
micro, no one has ever explained to me the value, tangible, that having a good worldwide reputation brings... personally, i dont much care what other nations think about the US... even IF we bent over backwards and did everything we could to make the rest of the world like us, it wouldnt work... things are just too good in this country, and most of the world will dislike us anyway... so tell me, what is the downside to having a bad worldwide rep, and what would the tangible benefits of having a good rep be?? also, im curious, what, exactly, could the US do that would improve its reputation??
tex, instead of prayer rugs, korans, and an arrow pointing to mecca, all guests should recieve a free football, and an open invitation to the pork buffet...
oh, i almost forgot... two former guests at gitmo were CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF TERRORISM in morocco... can anyone tell me why letting those folks go is a good idea??
