I have been involved in this community for some time now, though not nearly as long or as actively as others. However, I am constantly intrigued by the way we classify the women we post pictures of and was wondering if the moderator(s) had an opinion.

Right now we have categories for Celebrities, Models and Porn Stars, and Popular TV Shows. I can't say I have read through the instructions in great detail, beyond how to appropriately post, but it seems to me that the concept of what a Celebrity is has begun to take on a different meaning than what I think it is.

The most recent thread of Alina Puscau is a perfect example. She is a model, isn't she? Shouldn't she go in the models and pornstars section? There are a lot of women listed as "celebrities" who have done nothing other than appear in pictures either in print or solely on the Internet.

My definition of celebrity is that there is some level of notoriety and name recognition based on the person's exposure through popular culture. This doesn't necessarily mean, IMHO, that anyone who appears ina movie is a celebrity. We have had a recent spate of people posting people like Violante Placido, who all she has going for her is that she was nude in one movie (maybe two). Does that make her a celebrity?

I'm just throwing this out for discussion, not trying to be a pain. But I come here because I like to see nice images of women I am familiar with because they are considered celebrities. I don't like having to wade through scads of images of various and mainly anonymous naked women to do so, which againis why I come here.

You do bring up a good point. But you do have to remember this is not a USA based site. In fact it's more like a worlwide site. So what may not be considered a celeb here in the US might be somewhere else. I do agree with u regarding where to post some of these ladies.People like Cindy Crawford and Hiedi Klum They have acheived Supermodel status and they are so well known that they are considered celebirties but yet Cindy is in the Celeberties part of the site and Heidi in the Models. I don't have the answers but I enjoy this site so if I see a name I don't know I move on or I might take a look. I have found a few good finds that way so I don't mind. But enjoy.
