Has anyone really traced their roots to find specific ancestors? I got my family name back to a Byzantine Emperor who came from the town where my Great Grandfather was born. I am likely the offspring of his "special needs" stable-boy half-brother, but it was still pretty cool to read. The Anglo-Irish-Scotch side is really easy to trace back hundreds of years.
