Wrestling 2005

Fuck man, they really have to sort out this steroid problem in wrestling.

Another young wrestler who's life was cut short. I wonder if the cause of death will be similar to Eddie's - enlarged heart due to past use of steroids. I wasn't much a fan of his, but it's a shame to hear he died.

That's sad people blame steroids for deaths. Steroids NEVER kill. They only help to kill a person. If steroids killed an American wouldn't have won Arnold Classic this year.

RIP Test.
I deepest condolences.

That is like saying cigarettes don't kill, lung cancer does, alcohol doesn't kill, liver failure does. Steroids are the paramount reason wrestlers die early, just because they die of heart failure and not 'steroid overdose' does not mean steroids are not primarily at fault, hence why steroids get blamed.

Also, haven't posted in a while, felt like I should. After last weeks Raw, can somebody just take Vickie Guerrero out back and put her out of our misery? The storylines involving her are terrible, she looks like a pig that just so happened to also fall down the ugly tree and hit every branch, her voice sounds like Janice from Friends being scraped on a chalkboard and she is as good at acting as my cupboard. Scratch that, my cupboard is actually a better actor, it portrays the role of cupboard impeccably, she does not perform any role correctly and is a terrible blight on wrestling as a whole. /rant.

A bit off topic, but wrestling none the less. A question to the moderators/administrators on this thread - I review wrestling dvds and video in my collection on youtube and was wondering if it would be okay if I posted a link to my latest video as I make them. My current review - ECW Double Tables 1995. If possible, I can also offer the videos I review for download for those interested in adding them to their library.

If this is frowned upon, no worries.

Also, does anyone here post content on youtube? I'll be glad to subscribe, rate and comment.

Of Course it's okay, it's more than okay if You posted a link to your wrestling related videos in this thread.

I used to post content on youtube but I got banned

Thanks to KA for approving this. I appreciate any constructive criticism you all have to offer as well.

Here's my latest video, wrestling fans.

This time around, I look at ECW Double Tables 1995. And if you want it or ECW Tag Wars 1994 for your own collection, I can upload them for your perusal.

Hope you like it.

Is it just me or did Madison Rayne got a bit more attractive since joining with The Beautiful People?

She is still not as attractive as Angelina Love.

Kane kicked former UFC Champion Tim Sylvia's ass in a bar fight in Detroit. (real life)

Sunny hopes to return to WWE, she hopes to land a full time contract after WM.

really? do you know when this happened or what bar?

This is the article.

It is being reported that former UFC Champion Tim Sylvia was recently involved in a bar fight, in down town Detroit, MI, with non other than WWE Superstar Glen "Kane" Jacobs.

There are no details being released on the incident but several witnesses say that the fight started over an argument that Sylvia instigated. Jacobs' then reportedly took down Sylvia and started hitting him with punches before being pulled apart by a bystander and the bartender. Sylvia is reported to have suffered a broken nose and black eye.

The police were notified and no charges were pressed. Sylvia was taken to the hospital while Glen left with his wife.

Now that I agree with wholeheartedly! Angelina's the hottest of The Beautiful People(aka Mi Pi Sexy).

O.O No shit.

That would be awesome! I wish that Trish and Ames would return too. :( oh wells.

posting again.

Does anyone else, besides me, think that Shawn will be the one to end the Undertaker's streak? Shawn and him both debuted in Wrestling around the same time and both are in their own different way equal to each other.

I hope not but the way they have been booking him he will probably win.

As far as Mi PI Sexy goes Velvet skye is the hottest.

As a big HBK mark I'd love to see him win but I doubt it because taker will only lose to a younger guy who can carry the torch and then taker will retire.

Way to go Kane, I mean even a UFC fighter would be stupid to go after Kane.

In the IWC, TNA pretty much gets crapped on. Personally I think impact is the best show on tv. The TNA PPV's are pretty bad but impact is good IMO. I love the mafia I actually like Booker and Steiner now and those are two guys that I gave up on a while ago. I like the beautiful people, the machine guns, and ODB is frickin awesome. Do you guys agree?

It’s been 52 years since legendary Maritime pro wrestling promoter Emile Dupre first laced up a pair of wrestling boots - and he plans to keep the tradition alive this summer as he takes Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling back on the road.

The Simon Fraser Clan men and host Calgary Dinos women are the teams to beat this weekend at the 2009 Canadian Interuniversity Sport wrestling championships, which are held for the second straight year at the University of Calgary's Jack Simpson Gym. - February 25 2009

I've never liked the MEM. They started out as a means to get the younger stars over, and to an extent they have. But having A.J. win the "Legends" belt is a joke, in my opinion. The guy has won the TNA title before, why can't he now? Oh, yeah, Sting and Angle are fighting over it. The Sting/Angle storyline would work a lot better without the title involved - hey, they could feud over who deserves to be the number one contender.

If you remember, back in 1999/2000, WCW lost Jericho and a host of other great wrestlers because the older wrestlers just wouldn't get out of the main spotlight to make way for the next group of main eventers. I'm starting to see that happen here in TNA.

I sat down to watch Impact this past Thursday and I will say there were some things I liked about it. MCMG taking on that Japanese tag team was a great match. But then Beer Money come out, attack the Japanese team, driving them from the ring and call out the Dudleyz...er Team 3D. Don't know, just turned me off from what was entertaining me.

I think the Knockouts division are a joke now. Awesome Kong must be crying to herself backstage that she has to put over these no talent pieces of eye candy. The Beautiful People are okay, but they've become Divas, not women wrestlers. They've become a storyline. ODB is a little too over the top - the whole "Win a Date with ODB" had me groaning. Come on, I'm not buying this guy is an actual regular fan. The women's division started out really great, with women that impressed me and made me care about the title. Now? They're just like the WWE Divas - pretty, but not impressive. And will they get that birksha off Cheerleader Melissa (Saaed) so we can see her lovely face? At least they've started to let her wrestle.

You might think I hate TNA. I don't. I think TNA has an enormous amount of potential. They have some great wrestlers who can wow the audience. The problem lies with bogging those wrestlers down with some lame storylines. Not every match needs to revolve around a story and not every match has to have a stipulation.

Another problem is that as soon as TNA starts to do something right, they get nervous because they're not gaining more of a fan base or rating points with it and decide to scrap it and go in a different direction. You're not going to get fans overnight and TNA has to realize that.

Anyway, that's my two cents. I don't hate the show, but I don't find a lot to get excited about, either.
