Muhamed Hassans response to the media There is a video of this on WWE.com

Muhamed Hassan
I stand here tonight the only patriot left in America. I stand here tonight perhaps even a martyr against tyranny and injustice. Because the fact is I am an AMERICAN professional wrestler, but because of my heritage, because of my background, because of who my ancestors were, I'm labeled - we're labeled terrorists. Terrorists; I'm a terrorist! Well it must be true - it's gotta be true - because it's right here in black and white, in a reputable source, like the New York Post.

What, you don't believe me? Here it is: "Terrorist Wrestles After Bombing." I'm a terrorist - we're terrorists. We wrestled after a bombing. Well, Mr. Don Kaplan, (to Daivari) have you ever met Don Kaplan? Have you ever spoken to Don Kaplan? Have you ever called Don Kaplan on the phone? Well, I never have either. So, if Don Kaplan of the New York Post has never met us, how does Don Kaplan know we're terrorists? Don Kaplan also wrote that "Arabs in ski-masks carried Daivari out as a sacrifice last week." Arabs in SKI-MASKS...in SKI-MASKS...in a ski-mask. How does he know that they were Arabs?

The point is, because of articles like this, because of the fear that the media has put in all of you people, I have been denied my God-given right to pursue the profession of my choosing...to pursue the American Dream. I have been denied my basic rights as an American citizen. You know, as I look around this crowd and I look at all these faces looking at me in disgust, I think a lot of you have forgotten what this country was founded on. I think you have forgotten that your ancestors fought for their freedom. They gave their lives for their freedom - whether they be black, Irish-American, Italian-American, Jewish-American, Asian-American, they gave their lives for their freedom.

What's next? What's next? Because anytime anything goes wrong in this country, it's the Arabs. When a plane crashes, it's the Arabs. When a bomb goes off, it's the Arabs. The blackout two summers ago - it was the Arabs. Hurricane Dennis must be the Arabs.

You people say what you want. Because I have a right to be in here. I have a right to say what I want. And what I'm going to say, my name is Muhammad Hassan. I am an Arab-American and I am very proud of my heritage. But, as an American, my first amendment rights have been trampled. And, I stand here before all of you ashamed of my country.

I agree with him, I have to say it he is right. The Media is always quick to respond to something just to stir shit up. Mark Magnus aka Muhamed Hassan will always be looked at as a Terrorist in their minds. His attack on The Undertaker was no different than any other the WWE has done before. People look at the way he is dressed and his religius beliefs and proclaim he his a Terrorist. By speaking his mind and having his own religious beliefs does not make him a terrorist. He is an american just like everyone else in this country and he has the freedom to talk and dress how he wants. Don't look at the color of his skin or the way he dresses and judge him. I know what that is like, being a mexican in the middle of Nebraska everyone looks at me and my family and already makes up their minds about us. They look at us like we don't belong here, they see the way I am dressed and think I'm in a gang or selling drugs. They never take the time to understand what we are about or what arabs or blacks or any body else who looks different them really are about or who they are as people. Everybody who turns on the tv or reads the newspaper only see the negative Bullshit that guys like Don Kaplan put out. They never put out anything positive it's always something negative. Instead of trying to unite people as one they always try to divide this country by their heritage or religion. In about 15-25 years the majority of the population will not be white it will be brown. Whether they ar Arab, Mexican, Black,or Cuban it's not going to matter.People need to learn to understand and accept these people for who they are. I hope the day when people can unite as one comes sooner than later.

I've liked him since he showed up, but he shouldn't say he's ashamed of his country. I'm an American and I'm never ashamed of what we do. Even after we voted for Bush, TWICE! I still stand by the USA.

What did you guys think of the Matt HArdy stuff on RAW last night? Its obviously was a work, but do you think WWE will make this a good angle or drop the ball?

I can't see the Hardy anlge doing that well in the end.. I mean Matt's talented but he's no upper level wrestler like where Edge is now.... The continuous run ins etc will keep the crowd hyped like a mofo but at some stage att will have to wrestle and then the crowd will lose interest..
Keep playing him like a loose cannon (aka Brian Pillman RIP) and he'll be worth $$$ for a little while..

Possible TNA PPV Spoiler

TNA will make their decision today as to whether or not Matt Hardy will do a one-time appearance at their No Surrender pay-per view this Sunday. WWE has officially agreed to allow Hardy to work the show in an unexplained run-in type role. Up until today, TNA has not okayed the appearance.

They are really going all out with this angle.

Could the whole Edge/Lita affair have been a work in the first place???

That's what I started to think when V1s music hit during the wedding. It wouldn't have been hard to do. Hardy was already out with the injury, so all they had to do was put the story out there and let the net fans the all the work, put a few anti-WWE statements on Matt Hardys website and let it go from there. If it was a work I aplaude them for a job well done, they had me and everyone else fooled.

When I watched the Hassan/Daivari and Undertaker segment, I was quite disturbed by it (due to the terrible timing coinciding with the London bombings, which absolutely repulsed me).

However, what was written in the NYPost and Variety disturbed me far more than did the segment. Calling someone a terrorist just because they're Arab (or portray an Arab) fits in with the most low-brow form of discourse known to man.

What also disturbed me greatly were two kids (of about 12 or 13 years old) who were holding a sign (in red, white, and blue, no less) saying "Hassan, get the hell out of America." It's like the media has already brainwashed the minds of the impressionable in America, preparing them to be staunch neo-conservatives who have no tolerance for dissent. (I lay part of the blame on the WWE, who are responsible for the creation of the segment, trying to fan fans' post 9-11 hysteria.) It seems like the combination of media and the WWE are making the situation even worse.

Hassan's response was 100% true. Anyone who booed or opposes his response has got to be among the most ignorant people on the planet. These "fans" are not that, but raving lunatics.

If some people on this board are thinking I am anti-American, hear this. Had it not been for America, I would not be here, since my grandfather was born there and America gave his family a fresh start after moving from Sweden (which was a poor nation at the turn of the 20th Century). I also have many American relatives and friends.

The rumor going around now.Is the WWE and Hulk Hogan are working on a 20 year contract. Both side want it to happen. It's like the contract that Bret Hart wanted to sign before going to WCW.Vince pulled it before he signed it.

Does anyone actually expect him to live for 20 years? Let alone be able to walk?

Will the wrestling business die when Hulkamania finally disappears?? I mean there seems to be soo much emphasis on the Hulkster as being the icon of wrestling but the truth is that's he's getting very old and its time to move past him.. Before the haterade appears, I definitely know what Hulk means to the business etc and I will never question his legacy, but everything has to end at some point..

hulk hogan should fuck off the useless old twat. he can't even run anymore

shawn michaels has always been a better wrestler than hogan anyway.

fuckin old man hogan is pissing me off.

Possible spoiler/rumered matches for summerslam

SummerSlam commercials have been running in Canada advertising the following matches for this year's joint-brand PPV (take them as strictly rumor for now): Hogan vs. HBK, Taker vs. Orton, Batista vs. Hassan for World Title, Cena vs. Edge for WWE title, and HHH vs. Ric Flair. Those are for the most-part what is planned aside from Cena/Edge, which looks like it will now be Cena/Jericho now that Matt Hardy is back.

The TNA deal with SpikeTV is said to be signed, sealed, and confirmed. There is a small legal issue, which will expire imminently, that has delayed SpikeTV making the deal official. As soon as that issue expires, which we're told is "moments away," the announcement will be made public. We expect this as soon as tomorrow. TNA in its' videos teased this in a cryptic backwards sort of way, as we reported about earlier.

Big news if true!!!

On page 18.I said TNA will be on Spike Tv.On Saturdays in October.I think Hulk Hogan is still good for wrestling. The new show on VH1 is good. The 20 year contract doesn't mean just wrestling. It also mean he can't go to TNA or a WCW type wrestling company. He can go on shows and talk about the WWE.He can show up to the HOF dinner every year.I bet in 20 years HHH will still have the belt.LOL

Its probably just so they can use his likeness in furture DVDs and Video Games.

That too. It's just good for Vince.Hogan could make a other crap movie. It will make money.

The Undertaker has a three disc DVD that is scheduled for a August release. The DVD has 19 matches on it.The list was on a website.Matches with Bret Hart and some WM matches. Also other matches.
