Wrestling 2005

Yeah - i was meant to say Larry King (sorry about that)

Yes i did see the Montreal promo HBK did - again, i have to admit I can't remember a wrestler annoying the crowd like he did that night.

I guess he has his moments.

If i could just raise one more issue, RAW diva Ashley, while being nice to look at - is so bad in the ring she also makes the other divas with some wrestling talent look bad (did you see her almost "un-pantie" Candice? haha) - perhaps they should give her a "Maria" or "Lillian" type role until her ring work improves.

Although having said that she's not much worse than a Stacey Keibler, Torrie or Candice

Which begs the question? Are the Tough Enough & Diva search winners up to scratch? or are they not being given a fair chance?

Thats a good question. Is a "diva" necessarily a "wrestler"? I mean, how many of the contestants for the RAW diva search can wrestle? I actually dont think that Christy Hemme is that bad, but she's no lita or trish by any means.

I agree they should all be just eye candy, maybe a match once in a long while. But you know Vince probably wants to get his money's worth. 250,000 a year is a hell of a lot just for eye candy!

no they're not. i think the whole thing is just an excuse for time filling and boobies.

i also think its rigged and half of the women are planted (ie. I doubt Carmella Decesare was desperate to start wrestling  )

as far as the men go, they released Maven after never doing much with him at all, so that will tell you about Tough Enough.

Is Josh Matthews the only tough enough person still employed? Is Chris Nowitki still employed? (They might keep him just so they can say they had a wrestler go to Harvard)

Oh I'm sure the contest were rigged. Its the WWE for Christ sakes. I thought they fired Maven because of his attitude.

Chris Nowinski is doing public relations work with the WWE
and Mike “The Miz” Mizanin is training in OVW(WWE training center)
as far as i know. Maven had a problem partying with Randy Orton
and paid the price since he wasn't that high on the roster.

Jim Ross was fired on the air on Raw last night. Although the deal
to bring in Mike Goldberg from UFC failed, McMahon was set on the
plan to replace Ross with a more photogenic, youthful announcer
to host RAW. This was probably Ross's final TV broadcast for WWE ever.
(Barring a huge fan backlash.) There aren't plans for him to do PPVs,
as had been speculated by some. Vince McMahon really sucks for
doing this in my opinion.

yeah, i mean, everyone gets fired eventually, but considering all JR did for the company and how long he's been there, i think he deserved to go out with a little more dignity.

also, why the hell is king still there? if i had to pick between the two, king is way more useless and annoying than JR. i really hate coach with a passion. i hope he isn't the perm replacement.

JR will probably come back with Stone Cold or something.. Just so he can go out with his dignity intact..

Let's just hope they don't replace him with that Todd guy.

JR has been firred so many damn times (in real ife and storyline) and who knows this just might be a stoyline. I like the king and JR, I dont know if they will ever find announcers that will be as good as those two were together.

I really doubt though that that was the LAST time that we see JR though.

i hate basically all of the non-wrestler employees that aren't hot girls. it seems all the guys the employ, announcers or reporters or whatever, are incredibly annoying

"It's gonna be a slobber knocker!!!" ... I'm gonna miss Good Ole JR..

I think he'll be back. After King quit, it wasn't the same, which is why the readily hired him back. Those two are the best announcers, WAY better than McMahon ever was. Coachman needs to stop. I HATE him.

I for one am glad JR got fired. I was tired of his shit....Go COACH!!!

I agree with Theif, I have been waiting for a new announce team for along time now, one down and one to go. Get rid of King and put Mick Foley up there, The Coach and The Sock that'll shake things up.

Imagine Ric Flair commentating? I reckon he'd kick ass if given the chance in a few years from now!

That won't work, he will get himself too excited and have another heart attack. They need give Dusty Rhodes a shot "Welcome to Monday night WAW"

Hahahahaha Funny shit.... I reckon Dusty's only one bionic elbow away from a heart attack himself!

I just heard this about JR...

"- Jim Ross has apparently been in great discomfort backstage for the past few weeks due to colon problems. As reported by WWE.com, Ross is currently in the hospital to undergo colon surgery. This has led some to believe that the angle from RAW this past Monday was done to give him time off to recover. It remains to be seen if he will return to the RAW announce booth after he recovers or if he will remain off the air. "

If they do decide to get rid of JR for good, I hope they replace Lawler soon after as well and get some brand new faces in there. I think its great that they went with Cole and Tazz on Smackdown. RAW should do the same IMO.
