Wrestling 2005

Total bullshit. They had to give Cena one more championship to his record? And they did the same shit again... almost. Remember Edge cashing in his first MITB? Was Cena last entrance back then too?

Batista vs Cena at Wrestlemania - this is going to be EPIC, yay.

What did you guys think of NXT? I really liked it. I thought it was going to be more reality show tho, but it was still good the way it was. The only thing I don't like so far is Heath Slater.

I think it was a lot better than RAW. And I don't like Heath Slater also - he looks like dick and his name...

But what I hated was Michael Cole's "vintage" demeaning comments towards Bryan Danielson.

They are starting an anti-internet with Cole gimmick so it makes sense that he would be bad mouthing Bryan. I think it will be a good thing for Bryan in the long run. People who don't know who he is will probably look him up and find out, if they do I expect a pretty damn good reception for him NXT week.

Vince has been quoted saying they made Bryan a 'Star' in just one week thanks to miz and Jericho...they made him a a star?

LOL To me it seemed they tried to kill his stardum. First by getting slapped in the facve by Miz and then easily getting submitted by Jericho who hasn't submitted anyone in a year.

Just got done watching TNA and thought it was awesome :headbang::headbang::headbang:, all around a great show. A few supirises and a head scratcher for me. Not sure why they bumped Kaz form the PPV and gave Shannon Moore a title shot.

How was RAW tonight? I read the report but I want to know if it's worth the download.

Raw was just ok in my book. Same old song and dance.

Yea, It was rubbish. Only wathcable match/segment was Rhodes/DiBiase vs Orton

According to PWInsider, ratings for the first day of the "Monday Night War" are in and it's not a pretty sight for TNA --

The 3/8 edition of Raw did a 3.4 rating.
The 3/8 edition of Impact did a 1.0 rating.

That's TNA's lowest rating in a LONG time and you've gotta figure that there was a boost in viewers due to curiosity. They did hurt RAW a bit, but if they didn't convince some fans to abandon RAW for TNA, then starting next week they could be dipping under a 1.0 rating.

Paul Heyman had opined that Spike would let TNA move to Mondays because they didn't give a crap about the company, but knew that it would hurt WWE's ratings a bit, and since Spike is owned by Viacom, Viacom would be glad to sacrifice TNA in order just to knock down USA's ratings, even just a bit. I wonder if that was part of the thinking for the move, which seemed premature to me.

TNA Impact actually scored a wonderful .98 rating last night. They upped it to 1.0 so people wouldn't laugh as hard.

I didn't watch Impact, but most of the things I've read have left me thinking - what the fuck? A premiering RVD pins a returning Sting in 10 seconds, but then gets beat down by Sting - how does that get either man over? Oh, yeah, it doesn't! And that just skims the surface of how much of a joke this show was.

Bobobill, I'm glad you enjoyed it, but if I tried to run through the whole show, I'd be pulling my hair out by the end because they're still booking like idiots instead of smart, clever and coherent. It's seriously not worth my anguish.

I didn't watch Raw either and I have no desire to. Oh, Criss Angel, OH - can he make John Cena and Batista disappear permanently? I'll tune in for that! Otherwise, no thanks.

It seems like one watches Raw to be bored and one watches Impact to laugh at the lunacy.

How is this a war? It's not a war; hell, it's not even a skirmish. One side doesn't care enough to fight while the other can't even find the target and keeps shooting itself in the foot.

Checkout this awesome shoot. Ed Ferrara and Vince Russo together:

I got about 20 minutes in before I had to laugh at Vince's utter bullshit and turn it off. "Oh, I thought the gimmicks I was writing for were stupid."

I have little doubt he came up with the gimmicks, pitched them with glee to McMahon, McMahon let him run with the ball (because he's an idiot at times) and because they failed or were perceived as a joke, Russo has to save face and say "Oh, they weren't my ideas. I was just doing what McMahon told me." If you look at his later booking or even booking now, you can see he's still doing the same crap ideas.

Important question: Where is Santino?

Also I don't get it how can TNA get so low ratings - imho they are much much better than WWE.

Santino is injured - happened just before the rumble!

TNA is getting low rating because if you've watched WWE in the last 10 years then you've seen TNA before!

Wrestlemania 26 is less than 24 hours away! I can't wait! This is the first WM I'm actually looking forward to since perhaps WM20. We've got a stacked card, even if all of the stories aren't where they should be.

Here's my results:

Orton vs. DiBiase vs. Rhodes - next to no real story, haven't they teased Legacy's breakup for almost as long as they've been together? Just get it over with already. Orton goes over only because I can't see the other two getting the win.

MitB - Christian wins. It's got to happen. What better way to come off his ECW run than to get a shot at one of the titles.

Rey Misterio vs. CM Punk - Punk winning, forcing Rey to join SES makes for better drama than giving Rey a feel good win.

ShowMiz vs. Morrison & R-Truth - Just thrown together team a vs. barely established thrown together team b. ShowMiz should retain.

Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon - Let it end here and allow Bret to do something else on one of the shows. Don't drag this out with McMahon winning. Please!

Triple H vs. Sheamus - Love him or hate him, Sheamus needs the win here after getting pwned by a shit title reign. And with Hunter high on the guy, I can see him willing to put the kid over on the biggest stage.

Edge vs. Chris Jericho - This feud needs to continue cause it really just started. Jericho winning gives Edge something to chase after.

John Cena vs. Batista - Seriously, like Cena needs the title again, but I see him getting it back here. It might have had good buildup, but I just have no interest in either of these wrestlers. Thankfully, they aren't ruining two matches by facing other people.

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - To end the streak now would just be stupid. That being said, I won't be surprised if they do, but I'm keeping my money on Taker for the win.

Addendum: God, why put a Divas match on the card at all? Honestly, I could care less who wins since it means jack squat, but I'll go with Vicky's team winning.

All in all, a great looking card. Of course, they could totally ruin it, but I'll keep riding the positive waves.

Edge, cena, taker, sheamus, bret, showmiz, rey, dibiase, kofi & Beth, Mickie, Gail, Kelly & Eve.

Don't forget the main event:

The official WrestleMania 26 program lists a ten-diva tag match. The match was never announced officially on WWE television even though they began the small build to towards the match.

The match will be Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres vs. Vickie Guerrero, Michelle McCool, Layla, Maryse & Alicia Fox.
