hmm I was just thinking... Maybe HHH (if he is going over) is doing so because he's been given the responsibility of picking up the show as a whole.. What better way to show your Father in Law that you can run his business..

Yes thats true. He was already drafted there once and was traded back. Maybe then he didnt realize that Smackdown would bomb, or maybe he knew???
Either way, Trips should do whatever he has to do to impress Vince like you said Zini.. I hear shane O'mac doesnt want anything to do with the company, and who would would be better for the job to take over the biz? Definalty not Stephanie... HHH is the future. He needs to make the move now. I hate him but i think hes going to be the future man of the show.

**I'm feeling lazy, so I'm just gonna enter my comments into Chuck's post...they'll be marked like this one.
i can't stand Triple H- his goal in life has been to keep the RAW
roster down and promote himself as the centerpiece,
**That really doesn't take much effort. He IS the show's centerpeice. Has been since before the brand-split. Does it suck? Sure. That doesn't make it untrue though. The same argument could be made for the brief Rock-controlled era of Raw, where he'd drop the belt for maybe a single PPV, then pick it back up again, over & over (only way a guy could hold the damn thing 7 or 8 times in less than 3 yrs....i mean that's just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too excessive).
When there were chances to make headliners out of Benoit, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, heck- Triple H even screwed with his feud with Goldberg a few years back!!!
**The fans booed Goldberg damn near outta the building everytime he showed up. Giving him the belt would've been like vince shooting himself in the foot. Van Dam, despite fantastic shows in-ring, has really SUCKED on the mic in his WWE tenure. Even worse than Benoit...which is saying something. Booker T--imo--just wasn't convincing at the main event level in the WWE, on raw or Smackdown, but with him its pretty much an opinion thing. As for Benoit, Chris had the belt for a while--comparitively speaking. Five months, IIRC. His losing it had nothing to do with HHH, (whom he beat 2, 3 times in title bouts during his reign), that was ALL about shoving Orton down throats & trying to get Lesnar outta the record books.
For someone who thinks of himself as a "student of the game" he sure doesn't help much in allowing others to grab the spotlight or mantain their push.
**I disagree. HHH's feuds have done a LOT for a certain group o'folks. His feud over the IC title with the rock put them both in the main event. Feuds--both long and short--with Orton, Benjamin, Batista, and Benoit elevated all four men quite a bit. I mean seriously, without HHH to feud with, do you REALLY think Batista or Orton would've gotten even CLOSE to the world title this soon in their respective careers? Without 2 back to back televised wins against HHH, can you see Benjamin making a seemingly seamless jump from mediocre tag wrestler to IC champ in less than 4 months?

in the Cell matches- the best ones were the first two which he wasn't
even in!!)
**Again, I have ta disagree. The Taker/HBK HitC SUCKED. Foley/Taker was great. The 6-man Armageddon Cell match was great. HHH/Cactus Jack was friggin great too. Ya can't really fault the guy for bragging about some of the better matches he's had, just because he wasn't in the first two. He's been in a TON of 'em since then, after all. That's kinda like saying Ricky Steamboat was an awful wrestler just because he was never in a ladder match.

That's what makes me sick of him.
Lets face it, McMahon won't get behind these guys 'cause he didn't
have anything to do with their rise to fame. These guys came into
the company with a fanbase and reputation already and he (and Triple H)
let pride get in the way of doing great business.
Same thing happened when Vince brought in the biggest draw in the history
of wrestling- the NWO. Hall, Nash, and Hogan never got the chance to
run with the concept and it turned into a wash out.
Now they're struggling to find the next big babyface but i doubt they've
seen the mistakes they've made since buying WCW.

**Benoit SHOULD have held the belt longer, I agree. But in the current era, a 5, 6 month reign is HUGE. Especially for an unproven champ. (Benoit didn't hold the world title prior to that, aside from his less than 24 hour stint before walking out of WCW, remember.) Benoit was hurting on the mic, and the company felt the need to do something big after Lesnar left. Thus Benoit loses the gold to Orton.
**And the centerpiece of the show, regardless of if it's HHH or any other big leaguer over the past 20 years, gets the most airtime. Period. Just because it's HHH doesn't mean its a new thing. The Rock did it. Austin did it. Hell, Foley did it. So have Hogan, Savage, Sting--even going over a year w/out wrestling he was still a dominant persona in WCW, etc etc etc.

But he did it anyhow. If he was THAT vengeful a guy, he would've never hired Bischoff or Heyman, both of whom publicly HAMMERED McMahon & his company for years on their broadcasts. Pride ain't cuttin it as reasoning.

****Edit: And on top of the individual issues, look at the group as a whole. WCW Beat that horse to death, took it out, buried it, dug it up, and shot it. The gimmick was tired 2 years before Vince even tried it, and it didn't get better after the hiatus.

The ONLY Hell in a Cell's that're below the Taker/HBK par was that godawful excuse for a match between Taker & bossman, and Nash/HHH...which probably could've been good, had it happened about 3 years earlier when Nash could move at all.

That is what a PPV should be like it was great all around. Surprisingly having the Raw and Smackdown Superstars on the show did not suck the life out of the show. I am watching the replay so gotta go Jericho Vs Storm is on.

Best wrestling show I've seen since mania 20....and even that's a really close call. Just the energy from the fans alone made it worth watching...I'd nearly forgotten what fans sounded like, they've been so dead at the WWE shows these past couple years....
